We are a fast growing market leader in the online assessment market, delivering both tailored solutions and a ‘SaaS’ application to a variety of blue-chip corporate clients. Based in prestigious offices between Durham and Sunderland within ‘Software City’, we have aggressive expansions plans and need the right team to achieve this. Therefore we are currently recruiting a talented and experienced .NET Developer to significantly contribute to the company’s success.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the maintenance and development of our online assessment platform based on the .NET 3.5 and SQL 2005 platform.
The position requires an all-rounder who is competent in supporting such an application and possess the development skills to continue the development of the platform.
You will be responsible for the timely delivery of development projects and will be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through to development, testing, implementation and documentation. You will play a key role in the road map for the platform and ensuring that we remain ahead of the competition as the business grows.
You will play a key role within the development team of a fast growing business, delivering tailored solutions, application development, maintenance and technical support of the online testing platform.
Skills, Background and Experience Required:
• A degree in a relevant discipline
• At least 3 years commercial development experience (at least 1-2 years specifically in .NET web application development)
• A thorough working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, XML, SQL Server -Excellent ASP.NET user interface development skills, with experience of implementing design frameworks within user interface applications
• Excellent relational database skills with experience of designing and implementing scalable database architectures
• Preferably Microsoft qualified
• Exposure to .NET 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5 and SQL Server 2005 an advantage
• A self-starter, who loves a challenge, is driven to succeed and is perhaps most importantly a team player.
• You will be proactive, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
• You will have a proven track record of support and development, and exceptional technical skills.
