Description:

We are looking for an experienced software engineer and a project manager to join our Client’s development team in Sunderland. This is a new role within a fast-growing technologically advanced business.

Our Client’s multitouch platform is written mainly in C++ using OpenGL and there are API bindings in Flash/Flex and server based elements written in a combination of PHP and shell scripts. They want to expand this platform to include a number of web based services , including remote application deployment and control, electronic point of sale integration, processing transactions, remote administration among other things, and a web infrastructure for users to access it.

Responsibilities will include:
•    Being an integral part of designing the architecture of the platform, including Software Architecture, Software Design, writing detailed specifications, testing.
•    Provide technology insights and creative ideas to solve problems.
•    Provide high level documentation with comprehensive technical specifications.
•    System Analysis and Design
•    Manage and co-ordinate development teams (Platform and Web) and the different aspects of the project including liasing with Clients and determining requirements
•    Full control of the project development
•    Being part of interviewing and hiring the junior developers of their development team

Requirements:
•    Ability to quickly learn appropriate new technologies
•    Ability to effectively communicate with the team and manage development.
•    Must be able to set and meet realistic deadlines.
•    Project management Experience.
•    System architecture and engineering experience.
•    Knowledge of accepted software development methodologies.
•    Preferably to have dealt with similar out of the box projects
