Description:

We are happy to announce that on Monday 24th May at 18:00 we will be hosting a special SEO SuperMondays.

Do you spend hours trawling through Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) guides and implementing changes to your site to grab an extra ranking place in Google? Well, look no further as we have three expert speakers willing to share (all??) their SEO secrets.

Andrew Westgarth is an MVP (Internet Information Services) working as a software engineer for Hydratight Ltd, developing Web Applications for use in the oil and gas Industry amongst others. Andrew will be demonstrating how to use Microsoft’s IIS SEO tools to help you improve your site’s search engine rankings.

Dom “The Hodge” Hodgson is a blogger, conference organiser, SEO consultant, affiliate manager, and a proud northerner. Dom will be telling us about some of the antics he has got up to to increase his online visibility. He will also give some clues on how we can use real world actions to improve your search engine rankings.

Tim Nash referrers to himself as a ‘stuff consultant’ and aims to make the most complex topics interesting, easy to understand and entertaining. Unusually Tim does not like to be refereed to an SEO expert or consultant. He will be discussing the differences between black hat and white hat SEO and giving us a few hints on increasing our rankings along the way.

This event is sponsored by NorthernNet, Northern Film and Media and Sunderland Software City.

NorthernNet is a high speed telecommunication network, symmetric network of 100Mbs (upgradeable to 1 Gbps) that connects the North of England and beyond. It is available to businesses as a direct connection and, for the first time ever, as pay-as-you-go via NorthernNet Media Access Bureaux (MABs) located within 17 educational, cultural and business venues across the North, including within MediaCityUK in Salford.

How can we exploit the opportunities provided by super-fast broadband and MediaCity:UK to elevate the North to be a leading force in the European media industry? By connecting the North’s creative and digital industries to form a robust and competitive supply chain driven by innovation and collaboration. NorthernNet’s Innovation and Collaboration project, delivered in partnership in the NE with Codeworks, provides both the infrastructure and practical support for companies to explore collaborative working on real projects.
