Julian Assange is an Australian journalist/programmer and the man behind the famous whistleblower website Wikileaks.
Assagne’s background is mainly in programming and software development. He is said to be largely self-taught and widely read on science and mathematics. He has pleaded guilty on 24 charges of hacking after accessing computers of various organisations to test their security flaws.
Assagne hasn’t published his age but is believed to be 37 years old. Due to his parents’ background in touring theatre, Assagne is said have been enrolled to 37 schools and 6 universities in Australia in his early life. As an adult, he is still reported to be on constant move having lived in places like Sweden, East Africa and Iceland.
Assagne is a regular speaker at news- and hacker-oriented conferences as well as various international news agencies such as Al Jazeera, and CNN. He was the winner of the 2009 Amnesty International Media Award (New Media) for exposing extrajudicial assassinations in Kenya.
