Gaming executives from around the world gathered in the North East for the annual GameHorizon Conference this week.
The event, which took place on 29-30 June, coincided with the organisation’s announcement that it is to expand its membership to a nationwide audience.
GameHorizon, a business networking project which has previously been limited to North East gaming companies, will in the future bring together industry people from across the UK.
The move to national rather than regional membership means that GameHorizon can help to strengthen the position of the UK’s games industry on the global stage.
Darren Jobling, Chief Operating Officer at Eutechnyx and GameHorizon Chairman said: “GameHorizon is all about utilising a network of collaboration opportunities and sources of practical advice to create better businesses, including this week’s GameHorizon conference with senior executives from throughout the world.”
Hosted at the Sage Gateshead, this year’s GameHorizon Conference brought together a mix of business executives, gaming strategists and visionaries to discuss the future of the industry.
The speakers included the likes of Peter Molyneux, Creative Director at Microsoft, and Jesse Schell, CEO of Schell Games to the region.
