Featuring a Russian meerkat Aleksandr Orlov, the viral ad campaign was praised for making the rather unexciting prospect of comparing insurance prices funny and interesting.

The idea is, as Aleksandr would describe it, ‘simples’. The ad campaign features a frustrated Aleksandr complaining that everyone keeps coming to his website in search of cheap insurance deals.

North East's creative industry in freefall?

One of the region’s most iconic advertising agencies, Robson Brown, has joined the growing list of creative companies in financial trouble.

The US company, Round2, which acquired Robson Brown in March, has gone into administration.

Robson Brown is now looking for ‘a well established media partner’, the Newcastle-based company said in a statement.
