Say no to email for one day (or more!)
November 3, 2011 in News Roundup
A North East campaign is urging people to leave their inboxes for one day to improve productivity.
Set up by local digital innovator Paul Lancaster, the ‘No Email Day’ encourages the use of more modern forms of communication such as social media to increase greater collaboration and productivity.
“The speed of email is a great thing, but it’s also a bad thing as it makes people impatient for an immediate response”, Paul said in The Journal.
“Managing your email can be a massive time suck.”
The build up to the day, which runs for the first time on Friday 11 November, has created a buzz in the national and international tech media.
Spam emails, fake offers and attempts to steal banking details are circling around in the countdown to the football World Cup.
