Skysports.com has launched an online World Cup to crown the hottest Wag & Stag couple. Yes, thats right, the hottest Wag & Stag couple.

The representative couples from each country are set to play against each other based on the groups and fixtures of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The couple that bags more votes by the time the real games take place, wins three points.

Staying faithful to the real nature of the tournament, the two best couples from each group progress to the knockout stages and eventually to the final which will take place on the 11 July, deciding who will be crowned as the World Cup’s hottest Wag & Stag couple.

World Cup goes digital

ITV has rolled out a free, ad-funded app to watch World Cup matches live on an iPhone. The app will feature all the games to be broadcast on ITV1, as well as further matches to be broadcast on ITV4. The ITV website will also feature live coverage of the tournament.

Fifa.com will be the main source of information for many football fans. Ready to take on the flood of visitors, the site can be personalised by registering and logging in. Fifa has also adapted a Twitter-like approach with a live stream of information and links.

Nike paints a World Cup horror picture in teaser

Bloated Wayne Rooney cooks baked beans in a caravan after a World Cup disaster in a new Nike ad teaser.

Titled ‘Write the Future’, the clip features two Rooney’s neighbours on the caravan park talking about a failed pass to Theo Walcott, after which it all went downhill. A Nike billboard in the background depicts a victorious Franck Ribery.
