Goodbye to doormen? – meet your new digital bouncer
July 8, 2010 in News Roundup
A late-night venue in Sydney is testing a new security system that could put bouncers out of work.
The ‘Nightkey’ system scans party people’s IDs, snaps a video shot of them and records a “finger pin” scan to complete the check.
The information is then sent on to a computer allowing the venue to identify and refuse entry to anyone previously ejected for causing trouble.
