NFM invest in digital video creation tool

An online digital video tool ‘Masher’ has become the latest venture to receive investment from the regional screening agency Northern Film & Media.
The award winning web application allows users to create a video in seconds by ‘mashing’ together different videos, photos, music, and digital effects.
Masher will receive a £250,000 cash injection from the Northern Film and Media and Northstar Ventures’ Finance for Business – Creative Content Fund, enabling them to expand their operations by establishing a base in the North East.
Web researcher comScore has found that web video users would be willing to take on more ads.
