MyBdaily brings social networking to bdaily news bulletin

Bdaily is looking to re-invent business-to-business networking by combining social networking with their popular North East business news bulletin bdaily.

Titled MyBdaily, the new site offers members a supportive online business community that is dedicated to answer the needs of the business network.

“Bdaily was started to service businesses and the people within them”, bdaily Managing Director Si Bales said.

“Delivering daily business news, relevant to the individual reader as well as offering a more appropriate online channel to promote, connect and profile businesses with others through a deeper, richer experience.”

Google takes giant leap into social search with Search+

Google has taken a major step towards relevant social search results with the announcement of Search+ this week.

Search+ provides users with the option of ‘Personal Results’ – a unique search results page combining content from people you’re connected to on Google+ with other relevant search results from across the web.

“Just as in real life, your friends’ experiences are often so much more meaningful to you than impersonal content on the web”, Google wrote on their blog.

Now, the web is set to offer us the chance to let others know where we are at any particular time. Geo-location services have started to gain momentum with social media blog Mashable reporting Foursquare nearing 1 million check-ins per day in May.

Services, such as Gowalla or Foursquare, allow users to check in in a particular location – for example, part of a city or a conference venue – and see who else is there.
